  • Amazon Kindle app no longer has the page turning animation

    Just follow these steps.

    • When reading a book, tap in an empty part of the page.
    • Tap the Aa icon at the top right.
    • Select More, then swipe up to reveal the entire menu.
    • Page Turn Animation is the last item in the menu. Just tap the slider to turn it on or off.
  • Amazon Kindle reading app assistive reading doesn’t showing up

    To turn on Assistive Reader:

    1. Open the Kindle app on your iOS, Android, or Fire Tablet device.
    2. Open the content where you’d like to use Assistive Reader. Once you turn on Assistive Reader, it remains available until you turn it off again.
    3. Tap the top center of the screen, and then select the reading settings menu, Aa.
    4. Select More, and then turn on Assistive Reader.
    5. To display the player controls, tap the screen. You can control the reading speed, or rewind by 30 seconds using the player controls at the bottom of the screen.

    Tip: To start Assistive Reader from a specific point in the text, long press a word to open the quick actions menu. Then, tap Play to begin Text-to-Speech from that point forward, rather than from the top of the page.

    Please note, the Assistive Reader supports books that are:

    • Purchased from the Kindle store; or
    • Borrowed from Kindle Unlimited or Prime Reading, or other official Kindle partner sources; or
    • Shared with you in your Family Library.

    Books must also be available in a language supported by your device’s Text-to-Speech engine.

    Usually, when you first turn on a new Kindle or one that has been reset, you’ll see a setup screen. You’ll then be prompted to select your language and connect to a Wi-Fi network. After connecting to Wi-Fi, you’ll see a screen asking you to register your Kindle.

    On this screen, you should see an option that says something like “I have a registration code” or “Enter a registration code.” Tap on this option. You’ll then be prompted to enter your registration code. This is where you input the code.

    After entering the code, you’ll likely be asked to sign in with your Amazon account or create a new one if you don’t have one. Your Amazon account password comes into play only after the registration code has been entered and accepted.

    You can also register a Kindle and enter a code by going to amazon.com/code and then entering the 6-digit verification code you received.

    Try this:

    1. Put the phone/device in Airplane Mode to turn off your internet / mobile connections.
    2. Turn off Auto date/time. Change the date to the missed date.
    3. Open the Kindle app. Read a few minutes, close the book (leave the app open).
    4. Turn auto date/time back on.
    5. Turn off Airplane Mode.
    6. Sync the Kindle app.
    7. Wait until the amazon servers update. (Do not read during the hours of Midnight and 3AM Eastern, won’t update).

    be sure your Kindle Reading App fis updated to the most recent version. Then, try these steps:

    1. Navigate to library 
    2. Long press the books that were finished during the time period and select “Mark as Read” 
    3. After manually marking the books as read, syncing the app should allow Reading Insights to have those books under “read” list. 
    4. Then, restart your Kindle devices and app and check to see if your Reading Insights have updated.

    1. Clear the app cache and data.
    2. Make sure the Send to Kindle app is running the latest software.
    3. Check for Windows updates.
    4. If the issue persists, try installing the app on different computer to see if the issue is specific to your current PC.

    bleshooting steps:

    • Clear app cache and data for the Kindle Reading app:
    1. From the device’s home screen, tap the Menu button on your device.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Apps.
    4. Locate the app title from your list of apps.
    5. Select Storage.
    6. Select Clear Data and Cache.
    • Sign out of the app.
    • Uninstall the Kindle Reading app and reinstall latest Kindle App version from Play store.
    • Also make sure your android device it’s up to date.

    1. Go to Manage Your Content https://amazon.com/mycontent and click Preferences.
    2. Click Change under Country Settings.
    3. Select or enter your address, and click Update.

    Ensure both the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle reading App have no pending updates.

    Another way:

    1. Log into Amazon in the default browser on my phone.
    2. Go to the browser settings menu and selected “Desktop site.”
    3. Go back to Libby and sent the book to Kindle, which launched on browser.
    4. On the page that said “Read with Kindle ,” Again made sure the browser was set to “Desktop site.”
    5. After the page reloaded, click on the prompt to deliver the book, and I was able to proceed to get the book.
  • Amazon Kindle reading apps Missing books I purchased

    If the books aren’t listed in Manage Your Content and Devices on the website, while on that page, go to “Your Orders” and then “Digital Orders”. Look for the purchases there. If they’re not there, that’s not the Amazon account you used to buy them.
