  • Amazon Alexa – Music pausing 5 seconds after song starts when played on a speaker group

    Please try to:

    1. Unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds.
    2. Unplug your Echo devices.
    3. Plug the modem and router back in.
    4. Once the Wi-Fi is restored, plug your Echo devices back in.

    Despite other devices functioning well, an error may reside between the Echo group and your router that can be easily corrected with a restart.

  • Amazon – Alexa now turning 1 light off & on randomly but hunches already set to OFF??


    Please try these steps.

    • Check that your smart home device is on. If your device is battery operated, try inserting new batteries.
    • Make sure your Alexa device and the Alexa app have the latest software version.
    • If your smart home device uses a skill, try controlling your device with the manufacturer’s app.
    • If you can control your device with the manufacturer’s app, but not with Alexa, remove and then add the skill again in the Alexa app.
    • Otherwise, check your internet connection in the manufacturer’s app. If neither steps work, try resetting your Alexa device and smart home device.
    • If your device is next to your router, it may not work. Move your Alexa device at least 6 ft (2 m) away from your router.
    •  Matter Wi-Fi devices must connect on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network as your compatible matter controller (such as a compatible Echo device).
    •  For Matter devices, make sure it’s within 30 ft (9 m) of your compatible Matter controller.
    • If your device has a Zigbee logo , make sure it’s within 30 ft (9 m) of your hub or another connected Zigbee smart home device.
    • If your device has a Bluetooth logo , make sure it’s within 30 ft (9 m) of your compatible Echo device.
    • If your connected home security system doesn’t arm in a routine:
    • Make sure that no monitored doors or windows are open.
    • Check that the system isn’t already in an armed mode.
    • Make sure that your smart home device is compatible with Alexa. Devices that have a “Works with Alexa” badge are certified to work with Alexa.

  • Amazon Alexa – Delete old devices


    Please try the following:

    • Try removing the devices from the account using your account MYCD page ( www.amazon.com/mycd ) from the devices tab.
    • Go to “devices” tab and check the devices that are registered to the account.
    • Check the available options against each device and select “deregister” option for the device to remove it from account.
    • Once done, try refreshing Alexa app and check the status of device. If the status is not changed, try uninstalling the Alexa app and installing again.
  • Amazon – How to connect Alexa device to phone without app?

    If you’re setting up a device you’ll need a Wi-Fi connection, a device running the Alexa app, and an Alexa device.

    1. Plug in your device.
    2. Open the Alexa app .
    3. Select Devices .
    4. Select , then select Add Device.
    5. Select Amazon Echo.
    6. Select Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Pop and more. Follow the instructions to set up your device.

    If you’re wanting to connect your phone to your Alexa device via Bluetooth, you’ll need Wi-Fi and the Alexa app to do the initial pairing, but after that you won’t.

    1. Put your Bluetooth device in pairing mode.
    2. Open the Alexa app .
    3. Select Devices .
    4. Select your device.
    5. Select Device Settings .
    6. Select Bluetooth Devices, and then Pair A New Device.

    Next time you want to connect, enable Bluetooth on your phone or Bluetooth speaker and say, “Pair Bluetooth.” Once the initial pairing is complete, certain Bluetooth devices may automatically reconnect to your Echo when in range.

    To fix setup issues with your Echo device:

    • Check that your device is connected to Wi-Fi.
    • Check that you have the latest version of the Alexa app.
    • Restart your Echo device.
    • Reset your Echo device.
  • Amazon- Echo Device Is Having Bluetooth Issues

    Your Echo device can’t pair to Bluetooth or your Bluetooth connection drops.

    • Make sure that your Bluetooth device uses a supported Bluetooth profile. Alexa supports:
      • Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP SNK)
      • Audio/Video Remote Control Profile
    • Move your Bluetooth and Echo devices away from sources of possible interference (such as microwaves, baby monitors, and other wireless devices).
    • Make sure that your Bluetooth device is fully charged and close to your Echo device when pairing.
    • If you’ve previously paired your Bluetooth device, remove your paired Bluetooth device from Alexa. Then try pairing it again.
  • Amazon Echo Device Is Having Wi-Fi Issues

    Echo device can’t connect to Wi-Fi or has intermittent connectivity issues.

    Try the following steps to resolve Wi-Fi issues:

    • Make sure that your Echo device is within range of your wireless router and has a good connection.
    • Check that your Echo device is away from any devices that cause interference (such as microwaves, baby monitors, or other electronic devices).
    • Make sure that you have the correct Wi-Fi password. If your Wi-Fi password recently changed, update your Echo device’s Wi-Fi settings.
    • If you have several devices connected to your Wi-Fi network, try removing some of them to reduce congestion.
    • If you have a dual-band router: The network name (or SSID) is different for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band. If using a 2.4 GHz network, channels 1, 6, and 11 are the best channels to use with your Echo device.
    • Connect your Echo device to the 5 GHz band of your router (if available).
    • Restart your Echo device and your Internet router and/or modem.
  • Amazon Alexa not responding

    Alexa Doesn’t Understand or Respond to Your Request

    Alexa doesn’t respond or says she can’t understand you.

    To fix issues with your Echo device not responding:

    • Make sure you’re using the power adapter that was included with your device.
    • Make sure you have an active internet connection.
    • Check that your device isn’t muted. The light indicator is red when your device is muted.
    • For devices without a screen: press the Action button to see if your Echo device responds.
    • To make sure that Alexa hears you, move your device away from walls, other speakers, or background noise.
    • Speak naturally and clearly.
    • Rephrase your question or make it more specific. For example, there are many cities around the world called “Paris.” If you want to know the weather in Paris, France, say, “What’s the weather like in Paris, France?”
    • Try saying, “Did you hear me?”
    • Unplug your device and then plug it back in.

    • To restart your device:Unplug your device or the power adapter from the power outlet. Then plug it back in.

    Deregister a Device

    You can deregister a device from your Amazon account if you no longer want to use it to purchase apps or in-app items.

    To deregister a device:

    1. From the Amazon website, go to Manage Your Content and Devices.
    2. Login with your Amazon account credentials.
    3. Click Devices.
    4. Click the Actions button, and then click Deregister. Your Device will be deregistered from your Amazon account. This will remove all content from the device and many features will not work. Items you purchased from an Amazon store will remain available in the Cloud and can be downloaded again. After deregistering, you can register your Device to another Amazon account.
